This is the first of my new releases which I will only be exclusively releasing directly to those of you who enjoy and support my music. This is the first song of mine that I am officially releasing, which I both wrote and produced. My long time friend Noe Ramirez mixed and mastered the song.

When I first made this beat, there was something about it, it was simple, but it kept getting my attention. There was a feeling and an emotion I felt everytime I would go through my list of recent beats and this one in particular would play. So I knew I wanted to write to it, but I didn't know what exactly I wanted to say.

Fast forward to these last few weeks, my family has and is facing some difficult times due to health conditions of a close family member. These moments in life put a lot into perspective. It makes you think of time, how slow it goes by in the moment, but how fast it seems in hindsight. And I asked myself where has the time gone, and where will it go. Facing one’s mortality is a life changing experience, and there’s a lot of things we must find peace in during this time. So while my family member underwent medical procedures, I found a moment to write, I played this beat and I delivered the message that was sent to me.

In the song I wrote “in this world of sin, just never let the devil in (win)”

With that being said, none of us are perfect and we all sin in some way or another, but regardless how bad life can get, just never let the devil in. If you were given the privilege to know right from wrong, and to know God, then we can never let the devil win. And that’s on a day to day, as we interact and share experiences with people. Don’t let anyone or anything ever take you out of your purpose, and having you lead with the good in your heart. It’s up to us to bring that balance into the world.  - NAVARRO
